Celebrating 102 Years, Barney Miller’s Anniversary

Beginning History:

In June 19, 1922 Barney Miller opened an auto parts store on Main Street in Lexington.  In the following years he transitioned to early radios and phonographys in the late 1920’s.  It is thought that he sold the first radio in Kentucky.

Radios, phonographys and records were the business focus until the 1940’s when Barney and his son Harry traveled to the New York World Fair and saw an early television demonstration.  Amazed they planned on adding that to their offerings and soon there after sold the first TV in Kentucky.
