Barney Miller's, a third-generation, family-owned technology integration company, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022. The company will celebrate throughout the year and host a public anniversary event in June. The company will also have new product launches throughout the year to celebrate 100 years of innovation and inspiration.
Barney Miller's has a long history in Lexington. The business first opened its doors on June 18, 1922, in downtown Lexington, where the business remains today (232 E. Main Street). During the early years, the company sold Kentucky's first radio and first television set, along with many record players. The legacy company is now owned by third-generation Barney Miller, who has guided it from a purely retail format into an installation company.

A Glimpse of Our Past.
Barney Miller’s is the only technology integrator in Central Kentucky to earn the Home Technologies Association (HTA) certification. HTA-certified firms undergo a rigorous background check to ensure they are technically competent, demonstrate solid customer service and have a positive reputation. Less than 10 percent of companies earn the certification.
